Lazy Wig Sindrome

I did a full hair weave for a client two weeks before I went on vacation. When I returned, she had a new style. It was a wig on top of the weave. Ridiculous! Instead of taking the time to wrap or pin the original style up and cover it overnight while she slept like I showed her, she decided to be LAZY and waste money on a wig.

If you are a lazy person when it comes to your hair, please buy a weave that is pre-curled and you don't have to worry about upkeep. Just get up and go. For my client, it was a straight weave she thought she wanted at the time. So, my question would be, before the weave epidemic, she had to maintain her hair somehow, so why get lazy now!

Hair Abuse

I met a women who has been going to her hairstylist for 10 years. She was wearing a wig and when she removed it there was a bandage across her forehead near her hairline. I asked what happened and she explained.

Long story short, her hairstylist gave her a quick weave and during the process of removal, it tore the skin across her hairline. She had to get it treated by her doctor.

This is a sad case because this woman entrusted her hair into the hands of someone she's known for years to be a "professional". Is the hair industry turning into just for profit and not for hair care?

The Hair Dr. wasn't to happy about this. I treat every client's hair with special attention. So if you have problems with your hair, call me NOW!

I'm meeting so many women with thinning or bald edges because of extensions, braids, ect. The solution to them is STOP getting THAT which is causing the problem....and though they complain, many keep putting stress on their hair strands that are getting thinner and thinner.

They haven't experienced extreme baldness or almost irreversible damage yet.. but why wait until it's an emergency to get help. Use preventative measures, like giving your hair a rest in between braid style.

The Hair Dr. can help with preventative measures as well as helping to "Sick Hair Get Well." Call Darlene at 973-572-28819
