Men shouldn't just get their hair trimmed wearing a short Afro style if they have thinning or bald spots. The style isn't suitable for the condition. Have a professional treat the thinning area. In the mean time, have your hair trimmed as low as it can go to blend in with the thin areas if possible. Wear a low fade or shadow, but please get rid of the Afro.

Avoid Breakage to Relaxed Hair!
If your hair is relaxed, proper maintenance is very important. Depending on the texture really determines how often you should get a touch up.
Course hair-every 6 weeks
Medium hair-6 to 8 weeks
Fine hair-10 to 12 weeks
Major hair loss takes place when women allow their new growth to grow in beyond the time they should have it touched-up. A stress point builds up between the relaxed area and new growth. This is where the breakage will began. Follow the maintenance plan for relaxed hair and you will avoid hair loss and breakage.

Dry Brittle Hair May Come from......
There are a few reasons why people suffer from dry brittle hair.
1. Lack of the proper amount of alkaline water intake daily.
2. Neglecting conditioning treatments.
3. Using shampoos and conditioners that have synthetic ingredients which strips the hair of its moisture.
If you are guilty of one or all three, just make a change by doing the opposite and you'll put life and moisture back into your hair.

How Do You Make Thin Hair Fuller?
I hate to burst your bubble, but their is no magic hair product that makes thin hair fuller. That is, if your hair is naturally thin, the texture is what it is. Now, keeping it cut shorter gives you a fuller look, but the longer you let it grow the thinner it looks. It's just like looking at two people whose weight are the same in pounds, but one is short and the other is tall. The taller person looks thinner and the shorter person looks heavier because of the difference in length/height although their weight is the same. Your hair strands never change in weight/diameter, it always remain the same. You can have it colored darker to give it an illusion of a fuller look, but it still is what it is...and if it's already dark, learn to appreciate and work with it.
