How to Properly Condition Your Hair!
There are two types of conditioners:
Leave-In Conditioner
Deep Conditioner
A leave- in conditioner is a light liquid applied to wet hair that makes it easier to comb, blow dry and style. A deep conditioner is applied to wet hair as well. The difference is, deep conditioners are thicker consistency and should saturate the entire hair from root to ends. It should be also massaged into the scalp and a plastic cap is placed on the clients head. He/she is then placed under the dryer for at least 20 -25 minutes. This allows the conditioner to penetrate the core of the hair and repair any damage. The hair is then rinsed and styled as to be desired.
Both conditioners should be used interchangeably every two weeks to keep the hair properly nourished. This also is very important if you receive any chemical treatments to help prevent breakage.
